Tami Hausman loves architecture, marketing, and living in New York, where she has provided professional services to the design community for over 15 years. Prior to co-founding Hausman Kleppel LLC, her work experience included just about everything related to marketing and public relations for architecture firms including Skidmore, Owings & Merrill, Kohn Pedersen Fox, and Cooper, Robertson & Partners. Most recently, she was Senior Consultant at Capelin Communications, a public relations consultant to the A/E/C industry. Tami is particularly adept at understanding and analyzing the essential aspects of design and construction projects in view of broader concepts and trends. She most enjoys writing articles about trends and topics in architecture and urban planning, and she also lectures frequently. Throughout her career, she has been active in various professional organizations including the Society for Marketing Professionals (chair of the public relations committee and a board member), the AIA, the Institute for Urban Design, and Docomomo. She serves as a volunteer professional for the Taproot Organization, which provides marketing support to diverse non-profit organizations throughout New York City. She has a BA from Brown University and an MA and PhD in art history from New York University.

Nancy Kleppel, MArch

Nancy Kleppel has been involved in the profession of architecture for over 22 years. She began her career in the office of William Rawn Associates in Boston, then went on to pursue a professional architecture degree, spending several years in practice in Boston, New York City, and Santa Fe, New Mexico. For over ten years she has worked in the A/E/C industry in marketing and business development. Prior to co-founding Hausman Kleppel LLC, she spent the previous five years as an independent marketing consultant working with artists, architects, designers, and other AEC industry professionals. She has worked with firms of all sizes, both as a consultant and in-house, advising them on a broad range of tactical and strategic business development and marketing initiatives. She has a substantial track record of helping her clients to establish relationships and secure lucrative commissions with new clients of their own. Past positions include Director of Business Development for the New York office of Skidmore, Owings & Merrill and the New York office of Corgan Associates Architects. She has recently studied textile design at RISD and FIT with a particular interest in developing woven metal textiles for architectural applications. Ms. Kleppel is a native New Yorker and holds a BA from Brown University and an MArch degree from Harvard University.
